Department of English today i.e. 13-4-17 organized a Seminar on "Psychological problems encountered by University Students and Ways to Encounter Them". The guest speaker Saba Shabbir Sheikh is a renowned clinical psychologist. She is working as a consultant in Sheikh Zaid Hospital and Hameed Latif Hospital Lahore. She has delivered lectures at Kainnaird College Lahore, Punjab University Lahore Grammar School, Lums and Fast University.

All Faculty of English School along with MA English students were present during the talk. The speaker highlighted different types of mental problems, their symptoms, causes and ways to treat them. She primarily focused on the role of university, faculty and class mates in helping such students. At the end, the presenter listened to students' problems on the spot, moreover, she provided individual counseling to the students who were reluctant to share their problems in front of the audience. Overall, the session was very much productive for the faculty and the students.

All the faculty members of English department and students were of the opinion that such seminars should take place on the regular basis because these are very much fruitful. The whole event was managed by the English school faculty only. Organization of such lectures on regular basis would be contributory to the students' knowledge.
