Minhaj University Lahore initiated the Monsoon Tree Plantation drive at the university campus to make university Clean and Green on July 13th (2020) with the motto that the tree plantation is the moral responsibility of every citizen and it is a portentous need of time to aware the masses about environmental calamities, global warming and benefits of tree plantation.
Dr.Sajid Mehmood Shahzad, Vice-chancellor along with Dr. Khurram Shahzhad, Director Academics,Mr.Sabi Sullah-ud-Din, Controller Examination,Mr. Salman Janghir, Director Administration, Mr. Tayyab Aslam, Hr Manager, Mr.Ali Mohi-ud-Din, Manager Accounts,Mr. Shahid Nafees, Director Student Affairs, Mr.Umair Sultan Tipu, Admission Manager, Deans, Heads of the departments, faculty and admin staff inaugurated Monsoon Tree Plantation(2020) campaign by planting a sapling at the main campus of the university.
Later on, while communicating at the occasion, Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad said that tree plantation is an exercise that we can all participate for boosting our environment and to secure our new generations from the future’s environmental hazards. It is the need of the hour to make nation realize that to cope with the emerging threat of global warming, every one of us is required to take part in plantation campaign and play our part as an accountable citizen. The VC said that plants will be planted in all campuses of the university during this week-long campaign. The motive of the campaign is to encourage our faculty, admin staff and incredibly students to collectively plant trees with national cause and spirit. He added that the vision of Minhaj University is to bestow sound characters to students with neat and clean environment.
