About the School

The School was initially established under the name of “Department of History” in 2014 which was later renamed as the School of History & Pakistan Studies to offer comprehensive education regarding both fields. It soon earned recognition owing to its high standard and expertise in the wide range of disciplines.

The school was established with an aim to make students well-versed in the fields of History & Pakistan Studies along with developing student's analytical & critical capabilities and broaden their vision. Moreover, the School of History & Pakistan Studies promotes a vibrant research culture where faculty and students actively engage to conduct research activities to contribute to Pakistan. In addition, the School possesses highly qualified faculty members and a well-balanced educational environment which also promotes vibrant research culture and lifelong learning skills.

Historical knowledge on the testimony of past becomes fundamental method to resolve issues and problems of society and provide a vision for the future development of human society. That base makes history a vibrant & epistemologically essential discipline. To fulfill this role, the School provides quality education to its students and has a competent faculty on its board which is striving hard for the fulfillment of an important need of providing genuine information and guidance to the seekers of knowledge as well as researchers, on the history, land and people of Pakistan As head of the School I am committed to your success.
