Message

Welcome to the School of English, one of the most diverse departments in the Faculty of Languages at Minhaj University Lahore, where you learn to think critically, persuasive communication, text and context analysis, appreciation of the aesthetics and cultural values of literary texts through diverse rich areas of inquiry. We teach our students to master a critical understanding of English language and literature from numerous eras, cultures, and genres; and be able to express themselves clearly and comprehensively, in both oral and written forms. Besides this, we also groom our students into professionals by arranging advanced lectures, workshops, seminars and symposia that draw academics, authors, and teachers from all over the world. For students, to build on what they are learning and to get ready for their future careers, we encourage them to look into research opportunities, perform and publish their creative work, and apply for internships. We are a friendly group of faculty devoted to explore language's occurrence in nature and offer challenging, research-focused undergraduate and graduate degrees that give students numerous chances to work closely with faculty. Moreover, our department is very interdisciplinary, and both faculty and students frequently combine their research interests with related fields of study. As the Head of School, I am looking to forward to meet the new faces and minds with their interests in preserving English culture and serving our society. So, join this vibrant community and unlock your potential of being a leading linguist or well-versed person in literature.
