About the School

The School of Education was founded in 2010 in-response to the deeply felt need of improvement in the quality of teacher education in Pakistan. Since its establishment, the School of Education at MUL has become one of Pakistan's leading institutes for delivering high quality teacher education, making use of the potential of education for transforming lives, and contributing to the development of individuals, institutions, and society.

Through the advanced courses and programs, the School caters to pre-service and in-service professionals from both public and private sector institutions and has trained a diverse population of trainees. Furthermore, all the programs offered here are research-intensive and are based on the philosophy that the educators must be engaged in a continual process of inquiry. The programs are designed while keeping in view the challenges of change that individuals, institutions, and societies are facing, and aim at preparing the students as effective agents of change.

Moreover, the teaching and assessment techniques used by the School encourage experiential learning and problem-solving skills as well.

In short, our courses are research-led which encourage the students to gain insights from research in pedagogy to develop skills and values needed for imparting quality education.
