PhD Mathematics

Introduction

The PhD in Mathematics is a minimum three years program designed under the guidance of HEC to train the student to compete with the contemporary Mathematics problems and to skillfully conduct a good research in fields of Mathematics. Our PhD Program prepares students to make significant contribution in the field of Mathematics.

Objectives

  • To develop advanced research in pure, computational and applied Mathematics, including the ability to formulate and investigate research questions, develop rigorous proofs, and contribute novel insights into the field.
  • To enable the students to specialize in a specific area of Mathematics according to their research interests and career goals, such as algebra, analysis, combinatorics, artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks (ANNs), differential equations, geometry, number theory, or mathematical physics, and to become recognized experts in that area.
  • To equip the students to publish their research papers in HEC recognized journals, and present their research work at national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.
