Seminar on "Dengue: Precautions and Preventive Measures Minhaj University Lahore recently conducted a seminar titled "Dengue: Precautions and Preventive Measures" in collaboration with the Seekers Club, School of Food Sciences and Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Medical Lab Technology. The seminar aimed to educate students, faculty, and staff from various departments about dengue fever's signs, precautions, and treatment.
The event featured Dr. Hafiz Babar Saleem, a senior medical officer from the Punjab government, as a special guest. Dr. Saleem highlighted that dengue, though dangerous, is treatable. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness to prevent stagnant water, a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Dr. Saleem advised using mosquito nets, repellents, and creams to ward off mosquito bites, especially during changing weather. He emphasized the need for government and individual efforts to combat dengue and raise awareness.
