Center of Research and Innovation in Maritime Affairs (CRIMA) hosted a seminar in observance of World Environment Day. Distinguished guests from Punjab University's College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Prof. Dr. Abdul Qadir and Dr. Waheed Ullah Khan, delivered keynote speeches. Dr. Abdul Qadir highlighted the severe environmental pollution caused by rapid industrial growth and deforestation. He stressed plastic waste's global threat to marine life and human health, urging collaborative international efforts to minimize plastic usage. Dr. Waheed Ullah Khan addressed the critical issue of global warming and glacier melting due to insufficient tree planting and the hazardous impact of plastic waste. He emphasized the need for a cohesive strategy between the Pakistani government and the private sector to combat environmental pollution. The seminar saw active participation from CRIMA Director Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq, Deputy Director Dr. Uzma Naz, and various faculty members and students from Minhaj University.
