The Seekers Red Crescent Society, in partnership with the School of Pharmacy and Ahmed Thalassemia Hospital, launched the "Life Protection Campaign" at Minhaj University Lahore. The event was attended by the Chief Medical Officer of Punjab Rangers Teaching Hospital Dr. Durghal Talat and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad. Dr. Talat emphasized the importance of blood donation, noting that thalassemia patients require fresh blood transfusions two to three times a month. Without timely donations, these patients are at risk of developing various diseases and potentially facing life-threatening situations. He urged the youth and students to donate blood, describing it as a noble act. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad added that blood donation is not only a medical necessity but also a humanitarian act that can save countless lives. He encouraged all students and faculty members to participate actively in the campaign and demonstrate compassion and generosity. Students and faculty members actively participated in this activity.
