The Seekers Club organized a seminar to mark the International Day of the Girl Child. Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shahzad, Vice Chancellor (MUL), emphasized the importance of girls' and boys' education for societal progress. He stated that education empowers girls, helping them succeed in various fields. He also called for a collaborative effort between the government and private sectors to strengthen social protection systems for girls, ensuring a safe environment for them.
Speakers included Dr. Shumail, Outreach Coordinator of Women Circle, faculty members Aqsa Javed and Dr. Waqasia Mohsin, and Ammara Maqsood Qadri, Secretary of the Seekers Club. Dr. Shumail highlighted education's role in empowering girls, while Dr. Waqasia emphasized the need for better healthcare facilities for girls. Aqsa Javed stressed changing social attitudes and eliminating gender discrimination. The seminar concluded with Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Shazhad distributing shields to the guest speakers
