Awareness Session on Entrepreneurship as a Career

Minhaj Center for Startups & Entrepreneurship organized an awareness session titled "Entrepreneurship as a Career" for the 8th-semester students of Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), and Software Engineering (SE). The session aimed to inspire students to consider entrepreneurship a rewarding career option in today's rapidly evolving digital world. Dr. Umber Noreen, Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC), delivered an insightful talk on the vital role of entrepreneurship in driving innovation and economic growth. She discussed the entrepreneurial mindset, emphasizing skills like problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership, which are essential in technical fields. Dr. Noreen also shared practical advice on launching and managing startups, covering market identification, innovation, funding, and scaling. She highlighted the support systems available, including incubators like Minhaj Center and mentorship programs. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students explored how they could prepare for their entrepreneurial journey during their university years.
