Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, offers high-tech courses with research based teaching. We believe that our course of action during the study in these programs enables the students to improve their skills and to place them for the competitive positions in the market.
Our curriculum focuses on the students for computational thinking, examining the strengths and limitations of computers in terms of what can be computed, developing programming knowledge and skills and enhancing the understanding of computer based problem solving techniques. We make sure that our students have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to produce computer-based optimal solutions to the problems from the areas such as computer science, Information Technology, artificial intelligence, management, telecommunication, networking etc.

Admission requirements

  1. Candidates who have not studied Information Technology/Computer Science as their major subject in their 14 Years graduation or not having achieved the requisite percentage of marks (45% in graduation) as defined by the University’s regulations are eligible for admission in MIT provided they qualify and pass the deficiency semester/Zero Semester.
  2. Such students mentioned above firstly be admitted in Zero semester and after passing all the subjects and acquiring 60% marks (as a whole) in Zero semester are eligible for registration/admission in MIT.
  3. The Master’s degree duration of such students starts after passing the Zero Semester and then will be registered in the 1st semester of MIT.
  4. A student can get a short course certificate for passing Zero Semester but the Zero Semester result does not affect the overall CGPA/grade of the MIT degree program. The result of Zero Semester will not be reflected in final transcript/degree either.
  5. The minimum pass marks for each course in the zero semester shall be 50% and overall 60% in the zero semester shall be declared pass and would be eligible for the formal MIT registration.
